Discover the latest innovations in welding technology at our upcoming event, hosted by the TWI London Branch, Fronius UK Ltd, Cranfield University, and the BSSA.

Join us on Wednesday 23rd July, from 1:30 pm to 6 pm at Fronius UK in Milton Keynes for an afternoon filled with live demonstrations, expert-led discussions, and valuable networking opportunities. Don’t forget to stay for a hearty BBQ to wrap up the day.

Agenda and Highlights

This event offers the perfect chance to learn from industry experts, see cutting-edge welding technology in action, and network with professionals in the field. Besides the manual welding demonstrations you will have the opportunity to see the Fronius Cobot Welding System and Welding Simulator in action.
 
13:30  Arrival and refreshments.
14:00 Welcome and introductions by Sheldon Brear (Fronius UK Ltd), Gene Mathers (TWI), Wojciech Suder (Cranfield University), and Alan Denny.
  Advances in TIG Welding - Talk and discussion led by Kevin Rawson (Fronius UK Ltd), followed by a live demonstration of dynamic TIG welding on stainless steel.
  Advances in MIG Welding - Talk and discussion led by Bernd Rutzinger (Fronius International GmbH), accompanied by a live demonstration of the I WAVE Pro system on stainless steel.
  Advances in Welding Engineering Education - Talk and discussion led by James Wainright (Cranfield University). - Throughout the afternoon, you can also explore other demonstrations, including the Fronius Cobot Welding System and Welding Simulator.
17:00 Enjoy a BBQ and refreshments to end the day on a high note!
