☀ Lower energy costs
Use more of your own solar power, draw less energy from the grid and save on costs.
☀ Increase independence
With a storage unit, you gain independence from rising electricity prices.
☀ Guaranteed power supply
If there is a power failure, you can supply your own solar power from the storage unit.
A photovoltaic system produces electricity during the day when the sun is shining. In a typical household, however, the electricity demand is highest in the morning and evening hours. This is precisely when little or no electricity is being produced.
In order to use as much solar power as possible instead of expensive electricity from the public grid, you can either postpone your energy consumption until the sun is shining, or store solar energy for later.
Most photovoltaic systems are automatically disconnected from the grid and switched off during a grid blackout.
However, with an emergency-capable hybrid inverter, a battery storage system and a grid switching device, the PV system also runs when it is disconnected from the grid, and you can continue to supply yourself with your own energy during a power outage.
With the free Fronius Solar.web monitoring tool, you can keep an eye on your energy yield and consumption at all times and get the most out of your photovoltaic system.
In the evening and at night, household electricity also comes from the sunthanks to the storage unit . This means that the May family has to purchase hardly any electricity from the grid and can maximise their self-consumption.
Read experience report
The size, or capacity, of a storage unit is calculated based on your individual energy requirements. With the right storage unit, you can increase your self-sufficiency with solar energy to up to 85%,
meaning that energy costs decrease and your energy independence increases.
The following rule of thumb applies when selecting the correct storage unit:
Households with average electricity consumption during the day
__kWh annual power consumption / 1000 x 1.2 = __ kWh storage capacity
Households with low electricity consumption during the day
__kWh annual power consumption / 1000 x 1.5 = __ kWh storage capacity
Owing to our years of experience, we know what really matters when it comes to photovoltaic systems with storage units.
Particularly important is the interaction between storage unit and inverter. Only when these two components work together smoothly can you use your own solar power in a truly flexible and efficient way. This particularly applies n the event of a blackout.
Fronius inverters in combination with high-quality storage units enable flexible charging management: Thanks to the possibility of parallel energy flows, for example, the household can be supplied with solar power and a storage unit can be charged at the same time. You also have the choice of two backup power variants and can expand your Fronius system on a modular basis at any time. Your PV system with storage unit is therefore the perfect basis for a sustainable energy supply.
